• Avril Lavigne est née le 27 septembre 1984 à Belleville, elle déménagera à l'âge de 5 ans dans la ville de Napanee ou elle habitera jusqu'à l'adolescence. Mais Avril ne sera pas directement bercée au son pop-rock des vinyles de ses parents, elle se tournera plutôt vers la musique folke. Entre 8-10 ans, elle commencera à chanter à l'Eglise de son village. Elle participera également à plusieurs festivals régionaux. Alors qu'elle n'a que 16 ans, un producteur la repère grâce à un radio-crochet qu'Avril avait remporté. Deux ans plus tard, Avril sort son premier album: Let Go (2002). Viendra ensuite le sombre Under My Skin (2004) et puis le plus que girly: The Best Damn Thing (2007).
